In 2012, FAYR-GP organized its first Autumn School, in Lyon, since an event that takes place every year at the end of September. This is 2 days of training in primary care research
The Autumn School allows interns, PhD students and other young researchers in general medicine the opportunity to deepen their research skills, particularly in the context of their thesis work.
This Fall School is an opportunity for students to meet young researchers and discover projects that could attract them, stimulate them to continue further in the path of primary care research. While this research is still too often poorly understood by interns, it seems useful to show at your side both the unity and the plurality of research actions that can be carried out at the university and national levels.
For 3 years, foreign GPs have been invited via the association Saint Exupéry Network, the French branch of Vasco de Gama Movement. Their presence is a true opening of our association towards the international source of numerous and fruitful exchanges.
Every year the program has been refined and the public has been keen to be present.
Our 6 expert speakers led 3 research training courses. A course in qualitative research, a quantitative research and a systematic reviews course followed a progression over the 2 days.

L’édition 2017 de l’Ecole d’automne de FAYR-GP a été organisée les 22 et 23 septembre 2017 à la faculté de médecine de Saint-Etienne.

Parcours qualitatif initiation

Vous préparez votre thèse et vous vous questionnez sur la recherche qualitative ? Ce parcours est fait pour vous. Venez y découvrir en douceur les grands principes méthodologiques de la recherche qualitative, comment recueillir vos données et comment les analyser.
Parcours qualitatif approfondissement
Dr Julie GILLES DE LALONDE / Dr Jean-Sébastien CADWALLADER
Votre thèse était dans le champ de la recherche qualitative en santé et vous souhaitez poursuivre vos travaux mais en approfondissant ce que vous avez déjà acquis ? Vous avez encadré plusieurs thèses d’interne mais souhaitez améliorer vos connaissances ? Vous souhaitez connaître les critères de validité des études qualitatives ? Ce parcours est fait pour vous !
Parcours quantitatif
Dr Mathilde FRANCOIS / Dr Juliette PINOT
Vous vous demandez bien quel type d’étude serait adapté à votre question de recherche ? Vous ne savez pas par où commencer pour traiter vos données ? Vous avez envie de renouer avec la base des statistiques et découvrir comment fonctionne le logiciel R ? En sortant de ces deux jours vous n’aurez plus peur et vous en redemanderez même !
Parcours bibliographie / revue de la littérature
Benjamin MACE / Dr Sébastien COLSON
Tout travail de recherche commence par un état des lieux du sujet. Comment construire votre équation de recherche ? Quelles sont les bases de données à votre disposition ? Venez vous initier à la recherche bibliographique et la revue de la littérature n’aura plus de secret pour vous !
